This is The Counselor Entrepreneur‘s very first “Tuesday Q & A!!“
(The crowd goes wild with screams and clapping)
I have been able to put together all of the A’s to your Q’s and deliver them through blog posts. Sometimes you may have questions that do not require a consultation with me or for you to join one of my groups. Sometimes, you may have a simple question that can be answered in about 5 minutes, so you and the rest of the free world can benefit at the same time!
Let’s get this party started! You asked and I answered.

Camille, I am honored & thrilled that you took on this very difficult question for 3 reasons. It was my question :o). Next, it is important for counselors to “practice what we preach” to clients about self-care. Lastly, most people going into a profession of caring for others have a tendency to put others before self – there IS a healthy balance to that.
I have just seen so many exhausted women of all ages (teens, too) that are striving for perfection as opposed to living life to the fullest. I agree with you wholeheartedly when you say that everyone’s full plate of activities/responsibilities/goals/etc is different. JUST DO IT is a great way to tackle self-care.
Kim I was more than happy to share this question. We must have more talks about self care as it relates to counselors. What counselors provide to individuals, families, communities and beyond is so great. However, we won’t be in a position to help others if we don’t take care of ourselves.
Thanks again for your question!
